Wishes
If wishes came true
I would send them to you
To have anything you desire;
If left up to me,
There always would be
An angel to lift you up higher.
The light in your heart
Would never depart -
It would always abide in your soul;
Like the wings of a dove
The feelings of love
Would never, but never grow old.
For you are the light
That shines in the night
And you are the stars in the skies;
I want you to know
You make my heart glow
When I look in your beautiful eyes.
You kindle a flame
When you whisper my name
And passion shines bright in my heart;
Everything's fine
With your hand in mine,
And we know that we never will part.
No sorrow or pain,
No clouds and no rain,
And may all of your troubles be few;
Yes, all of these things,
Neverending, like rings,
I wish to bestow upon you;
You surround me with love
Like a gift from above,
And fill up my soul with a fire;
If wishes came true
I would send them to you
To have anything you desire.
