A Dream Is A Wish

A dream is a wish that your heart makes
And sometimes your dreams will come true;
And after years of loneliness
inside my aching heart,
I realized my dream when I met you.

For you are the light inside my heart
You are the stars in the sky;
You're everything I wish for,
and everything I need,
I can see love's reflection in your eyes.

And sometimes when I look at you beside me
I know just exactly how you feel;
Yet, sometimes at night,
as you lay in my arms,
I can't help but wonder if its real.

It feels like a dream every morning
When I see you asleep at my side;
But if it's a dream
that I feel in my heart,
I can take it, with arms open wide.

For a dream is a wish that your heart makes
And sometimes your dreams will come true;
And after years of loneliness
inside my aching heart,
I realized my dream when I met you.
